Mubarak said in one of his final speeches as President “I never wanted to become a dictator.” Is it even possible to become a dictator without wanting it? It’s not like tending bar, you don’t just fall into it. Really the essential requirement to becoming a dictator is wanting more than anyone around you. Just because you don’t declare it as a major in college or dress up as it on career day doesn’t mean that if asked “would you like the maximum amount of power and wealth your country can possibly give one person?” you’re not at least willing to give it a shot. C’mon Mubarak just say what you feel, “Holy shit I can’t believe I’m stepping down over a facebook page and some tweets. I never should have wasted my time on Friendster.”
